@esteemedyams he is letting his emotions get the better of him. Zelensky should be meek around Trump. It's not about his pride but about his people. Zelensky has few options. Europe has been 'supporting' him for 3 years. And the best is a war of attrition. In that time the French and Germans have done b-gger all. In Poland we took many Ukrainians including young guys in their Ferraris who ran away from the war and boss themselves around Poland. What is Zelensky offering? Just rude words. He has to shut up and listen to Trump. Trump is the only person on this earth who can save him. Trump is the only person who can save Europe, Korea, Taiwan and Japan. Trump is bombastic but so what. If Trump says ceasefire, then ceasefire. Then Ukraine can rebuild and re-arm. We can see what follows later. But presently Ukraine cannot win back the lost territories. Europe itself is not willing to arm itself. Most European countries don't spend the 2% never mind 5% on defense. PRAGMATISM has to prevail.

@georgnightingale2131 Yes. They did. But then they said -- let US boys defend Europe. And now Europe is disarmed because it prefers to spend money on social welfare and on green eco technologies and implementations. That's why MAGA is upset. And I don't blame MAGA.

@tonibaker3823 But for most of Europe, Russia is not seen as a threat. Russia is a threat to Finland, The Baltic states, Poland, Romania and maybe Slovaks. Nobody else sees Russia as a threat because 1. The Russians won't invade them. 2. Russia wants to sell them cheap gas and oil. Europe has no defense industry because such costs billions of Euros. There is no money for that. There is money for green things and changing nuclear to wind and solar only and for social grant payouts. Come on. Don't say Europe will step up. Europe (Western Europe) DID NOT STEP UP for the past 3 years. We can't. We don't have the euipment or the manpower. It would take decades to build that.

@tramdriver123 Zelensky is a joker. He is insulting Trump. He previously insulted Boris Johnson and Andrzej Duda. Zelensky needs to learn humility. He has to show respect and SPEAK LESS and LISTEN MORE.

@TheBozn Well said. And in addition most of Europe does not want to do that because most of Europe is either FAR from Russia (i.e. it has buffer states) or it thinks "NATO will protect us" i.e. "The US will protect us". I am ashamed of Europe. I am European but I am ashamed of Europe. It did almost NOTHING for the past 3 years.
