  1. Russia always has been authoritarian. And if she becomes democratic, she will still be imperial. Your line of thinking is incorrect. Listen to us in Poland and other countries who've lived under early Russian democrats in the the late 19th and early 20th centuries who were just as oppressive. Russian will need a mindset change. It will take generations. People will have to move away from imperialism. Naive Americans believe that just replacing the government will turn Russia into Japan. Nope, sorry.

  2. Notre Dame fire was a tragedy for Roman Catholics. The anti-theistic French have no right to care about it. I like how Jake says it's a world cultural site, but do people who call us "faith heads" and deluded really matter when it comes to a landmark for humanity? Culture?
