  3. The US can veto only weapons where it owns IP rights to sub components, eg HIMARS and GRIPEN (the engine is American). That's part of contract law. If EU countries break that they will be fined or maybe US will never sell them weapon systems again. Also their own systems may be misused.

  4.  @Apophis1010  That's not true. If that was true, the people who know more than you would believe it. China would now take Taiwan, North Korea would bomb Seoul and Tokyo and Russia would go into the Baltic countries.

  5. I don't think the West will win against China. Chinese have the highest average IQ in the world and there are 1.4billion of them. Yes they built themselves up as a factory for the West, BUT the tech genie is out of the bag. One can't unlearn what one knows. And unless one believes Chinese are racially inferior and can't innovate on their own (I think they can innovate and their higher than European IQ actually shows they can and have the potential to do better) one has to admit that unless some tragedy or cataclysm will befall China, in our lifetimes, China will win the economic war here. More resources (because also Russian resources), more people and higher average IQ plus patriotism and discipline shows that they will succeed in the long term. I think the West will have to make peace and concede to the Chinese in the long run.

  6.  @seanniemeyer5437  Germany had a lot of Soviet RPG-7s but they were sub standard (too old). They tried to send them to Ukraine in the first months of the war. That was when Poland was sending tanks - yes Soviet era but upgraded with modern Western night vision and optics.

  7.  @seanniemeyer5437  This was mostly under the Duda/Morawiecki government of PiS, the government which is so hated by EU elites. We must understand one thing. Ukraine was saved by Polish conservatives. PiS (Law and Justice) don't like Russia. They were re-arming since they got into power in 2015. PiS was also the one which tried to convince GWB to put in an antiballistic missile shield in Poland. When Tusk took over he dragged his feet and the current ABM shield in Poland is weaker. When PIS took over again in 2015 they went crazy with weapons purchases. Previously Tusk (PO) was scaling down the military. Now the kicker, if PO was in charge in Poland in February 2022, the Polish borders would probably have been closed to Ukrainian women and kids and most aid would consist of first aid kits, kevlar vests and helmets. That's it. Note also that it was Kaczynski and Morawiecki who were the first leaders to visit Kyiv in 2022 and speak to Zelensky. Nobody else dared to do this. PO have already dropped the ball since taking over. PIS was buiding something the US NATO generals recommended, the CPK, Central Communications Hub, a real airport, highway and train hub which NATO planners have said was an excellent idea because it would help bring in NATO forces to any Russian attack and provide logistic support. Guess what, PO is already dragging their feet over this. They often say, we don't need a real airport, we have Frankfurt and Berlin. I know you guys in the West think 'conservative= Pro Putin" but that's not the Polish right. Polish left is more into appeasement. The Polish right is very anti-Russian. And you'll also see the other right parties in Europe and Russ bots not promote PIS at all. They will promote French and German right but not the Polish right. So be weary.

  8.  @Jakob_DK  North Korea is funny. They seem to have abandoned China and now look to Russia. Threatwise we're told that NK is a bigger threat to Japan and South Korea while China is a threat to Taiwan. China however doesn't want to nuke Taiwan, they want to incorporate it like Hong Kong. North Korea may want to nuke Tokyo or Seul, maybe, or at least they threaten to do so. If MAGA sides with Russia they are siding with Iran and North Korea and so what will Japan and South Korea think? Already being pro-Russia is making American allies in eastern Europe nervous. MAGA has to decide. Is the deal with Russia worth it. Because I don't think Russia is going to be disconnected from China. They are next to each other and millions of Chinese live in Siberia. Russia can't ask the US to replace China for them. The US is not big enough for that. It's a tightrope all right and at the end of the day the Russians won't go for this because China will always be there and 1.4 billion Chinese with a higher IQ than Europeans are not going to forget if they're betrayed by Moscow.

  14. One can afford to build junk (and often also sell it to Russia - as Thales France did) if one is protected by the Americans in Ramstein, West Germany. Anyone can be a hero if you're safe and don't have to defend your own borders. You can develop your own nukes. But the Germans were not allowed to develop their own nukes and certainly not the Poles either. The Polish lead scientists who tried to do that was assassinated in the 80s. So what you say is not entirely correct. It's very simplistic.

  18. It happens with all systems. For example Poland could not send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine without German permission which took many months.
