  1. Anything in mostly Anglo countries. I don't think they have any effect in Asia, Africa, and most of South America, where people at best pay lip service to this.

  3.  @Saskfinest1  Dude most people in the world don't have university degrees, that's not a failure of universities. You're suggesting it's a failure of religion that many people left but that makes no sense. The truth value of something is not necessarily determined by its popularity. Success is also not about popularity. Most people don't have degrees either.

  5. He was a pompous fool. I don't understand how anyone could be enamoured with such a concrete thinker. He was absolutist, a sort of black vs white guy, no nuance and he was a demagogue, a sophist. His whole spiel were silly meme like aphorisms but which were based on false premises and he was not a seeker of truth but a antitheist. His brother is a historical revisionist and a Putin apologist from what I see online. His brother is Christian supposedly but that hasn't spared him from being hit with the anti-intellectual Hitchens stick.

  8.  @Saskfinest1  I don't know why you have to sperg. Do you read what I write. Why do you say religion is failing? It's failing to get the numbers, maybe, but no failing per se. Which religion? There are 100s of religion. You do know that not all want more converts? Secondly, whether anybody is religious on earth has nothing to do with the truth value of any given religion. Please read what I write instead of repeating nonsense. To summarise: the truth of a religion is not related to its popularity. Population is not same as popularity. If a religion is failing, to get adherents, it does not mean it is failing per se in its goals, its goals may be to save a handful of people at the end. The rest may burn in hell. Come on man. Anyway this also goes for anything. Religions are not ad companies. Neither are universities.

  9.  @PJRayment  Think it through. Whether you're convinced by something, is not related to whether that something is true or not. Appeals to popularity are a fallacy. It's a type of ad hominem fallacy. Secondly, people need not be convinced by rational argument to follow something. This is basic logic. The fact that people are becoming less religious does not mean any given religion is true or false.

  11.  @PJRayment  I don't think I'm wrong. I think that popularity of a religion has little or nothing to do with its truth value. It's not a given, you can't claim, religion has failed because less people follow because all religion is is following the truth of a given teaching or revelation or doctrine. I also don't think we can discount a religion because few people follow it. Discount it from a truth standpoint. Maybe we can discount it from the point of view of influence of its teachings sociologically although even then we can dispute that and say-- (some or many of) the teachings of Christianity are so ingrained in European culture that people take them for granted and take them as obvious default positions. I don't think I'm wrong. I don't think religion has failed because 1. There are 100s of religions. So which religion has failed and how? 2. Some religions have failed. Those which predicted the end of the world etc and it hasn't happened have failed. Christianity hasn't failed - to fail Christianity we'd need to find the bones of Jesus Christ. Christianity unlike all other religions can be proven false empirically. No other can be, be it Buddhism, Shinto, Islam, Judaism, etc. Christianity can be falsified. Anyway I don't think Christianity has failed because 1. We're not at the end of time. 2. Christianity even so, has no targets. As a Christian, it's not your job to convert 1000 people and if you don't, you've failed as has your priest. It's also not failure to sin or move away. Christ didn't say- you must convert so many millions of people or you've failed. Christianity cannot fail. Christians can fail at some task, sure. But you can't say in a blanket way Christianity has failed. Failed because people prefer hedonism or are too busy? How is that a fault of Christianity? And what is Christianity? Is it God's failure that people don't convert? How is it God's failure that people reject Him? How can we judge this? Anyway I hope you see the OP said something nonsensical. Happy Easter.
