  1. NYPD is the worst. I moved to NYC years ago. I still had out-of-state license plates on my car. I parked farther away from the fire hydrant than any other car on the street (there were two hydrants on opposite sides). NYPD towed my car. None of the other three cars, all with NY plates, which were much closer even got a ticket. Months later, I saw a Verizon truck parked directly in front of the same hydrant for >1 hour. I have never been towed before nor since that.
