  1. Mafia: Pay us or you die. United Health and other health insurance companies are actually worse than the mafia. You pay them, and then you still may die. With the mafia, you can always go to the police. With health insurance, everything they do is deemed "legal". Plus, at least the mafia has some version of a "moral code", albeit a laughable one. Health insurance companies have no moral code; all they seek are profits.
