Years ago, I sold my house in Texas as a For Sale By Owner which went fine. Years later, I tried a FSBO when selling my condo in Florida. It was hell. Realtors would not show the condo, even though I promised them 3%. They kept harassing me to have them list it. I finally had to hire a realtor to sell it. It felt like a racket. Visiting Texas, I met a retired realtor from NYC at a social group. I told him about the problems I had doing a FSBO in Florida. He said, "Oh! You're a fizzbo. I cannot talk to you." WTF? I used to work for a large IT company. I would talk to our competitors as long as it wasn't about trade secrets. Realtors seem like the mafia.
