Source: Neil deGrasse Tyson. Before the 1900s, everyone ate organic food. Life expectancy was ~35 years old. Yes, advanced medicine, including vaccines, had a lot to do with longer life expectancy now. People in recent years do have health issues from obesity, but not necessarily from processed foods and additives.

@pine-solitude You are making up a straw man to argue with. First, I never wrote that life expectancy was ~35 in the 19th century. My comments were that life expectancy was ~35 "Before the 1900s". That could be any time before the 1900s. Your "infant mortality" comment was already covered by my comment about "advanced medicine".
