  1. The popular vote tells you who had the most support. The small number of Iowa delegates is important only if the final delegate count after all the primaries and caucuses is so close that you need a few to put you over the top. But the SDE is the intermediate calculation; it is not important except for whether it is calculated correctly (this time it was not). Bernie won the popular vote by ~6,000. Bernie won Iowa.
