  1. There are good ideas but they are at the federal level. Very, very few good ideas ever get enacted at the federal level because the system is so corrupt and broken. Try making changes in a blue state instead. Still difficult, but not impossible to pass things like that in a blue state rather than at the federal level. Let that be the model of what works.
