  1. Trump did not "flip 3 seats". Flipping would indicate changing from a Democratically-appointed justice to a Republican-appointed one. At the end of Obama's term the Supreme Court consisted of 5 Repub-appointed justices and 3 Dem-appointed justices, with one seat unfilled. Trump filled the vacant seat which had previously been filled by Scalia, Repub-appointed; Kennedy, Repub-appointed; and Ginsburg, Dem-appointed. Trump "flipped" 1 seat.
