There is a passage in one of Bob Woodward's books about the Trump administration where he talks about Gary Cohn, a former Trump White House financial advisor. Cohn had been a Democrat until he went to work in Trump's admin. Gary Cohn said something like how it was a good thing that factory jobs got shipped overseas because who wants to work in a factory all day doing the same thing over and over again. Gary Cohn neglected to mention what happened to those laid-off factory workers. Factory work was much better than minimum wage work at McDonald's or Amazon.
