  1. You don't even have to raise taxes to fund Medicare and Social Security. Just remove the tax caps. Currently, income above a certain limit is not taxed for Social Security and Medicare. Therefore, people making a lot of money pay a much smaller percentage of their total income on Social Security and Medicare than people who earn less. Remove the tax caps, and rich people would finally have to pay the same percentage of their income in Social Security and Medicare tax.
