  1. The silver lining is that if Latimer wins, he won't be like Joe Manchin because he will be 1-out-of-435 votes in the House and won't be able to filibuster. However, if this AIPAC strategy works even partially, it will mean trouble in the future. 1. Run a Republican as a Democrat in a safe Dem district. 2. Pour hundreds of millions of dollars into disinformation ads. 3. Win and vote with Republicans. That would mean not only the end of Progressives but also the end of the Democratic Party.
