  1. Alan Dershowitz is a lawyer. First, Dershowitz represented Epstein in his first case in 2008. Dershowitz may have either been an accomplice or at least a witness to Epstein's crimes. If true, a conflict of interest for Dershowitz to represent Epstein in that case. Second, a lawyer is not supposed to fraternize with a convicted felon. In 2008, Epstein plead guilty to two felonies in Florida as part of his lenient plea deal. If Dershowitz hung out socially with Epstein after that, Dershowitz should have been investigated by his bar association.
