  1. RFK's alleged addiction should not be taken as an attack but as an explanation. I dated a guy in South Florida who was a recovering alcoholic for 37+ years. He was the nicest man. Another guy there also was a recovering alcoholic. He was angry, and verbally abusive to his partner. Once he shoved me into a door, but wasn't sent home. South Florida loves bullies, especially within the older LGBT community. It's not the addiction, but how someone handles their addiction that matters.
