I am surprised Obama mentioned Canada. Canada has socialized public healthcare where everyone gets it without paying premiums, etc. When people in Canada got sick, they did not have to worry about whether they could pay a large hospital bill because their insurance would already pay it. I pay $450 a month for Obamacare which does not cover much until I reach my $7000 deductible or am past my out-of-pocket maximum of $9000 a year. Obama had both the House and supermajority in the Senate, but all he could deliver was privatized Obamacare.

@paulacastro5128 Compare Obama's Dems in the Senate with George W. Bush's House Repubs. Granted, the House does not have the filibuster. But Tom Delay was called "The Hammer". He would get every House Republican to fall in line and vote the same. Even then, Bush got Senate Repubs to vote for what he wanted too, surviving the filibuster. Bush was even able to lie and convince many Senate Democrats(!!!) like Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden to support his illegal war in Iraq. Part of being a leader is getting people opposed to you, at least in your own party, to flip.
