  2. The worst car I ever bought was a new Dodge. So many things broke on it. Transmission broke after ~2 years. When I started losing power, they said it was because of the spark plugs and wires. Normally a simple change, on that Dodge the whole engine had to be lifted! Stupid f'ing design. Unknown elec problem meant about a dozen battery changes in ~4 years. So many cheaply made parts. The driver side door handle broke off. The passenger side door lock fell in. The A/C temp knob froze. The split interior sunroof cover would fall out of its track constantly. Horrible car.

  3. To get the full $7,500 EV tax credit on qualifying new vehicles, you must have at least $7,500 tax liability. So if the Total Tax line on your IRS return is less than $7,500, you would only get that amount of tax credit.

  5. Many years ago, I bought a Dodge vehicle. It was the worst vehicle I have ever owned. Everything broke on it. I will never buy another Dodge vehicle again. A few years ago, I got screwed over by a Toyota dealer. I have had good luck with the reliability of Toyotas. I still buy Toyotas, but I will never buy from the Toyota dealer who screwed me again.

  6. I owned a new Dodge years ago. The engine had to be yanked just to replace the spark plugs and wires. The transmission went out. Some unknown electrical problem killed the battery. I must have had about a dozen batteries over the 6 years I owned it. Cheap parts would break and fall off, like the exterior door handle, the interior sunroof cover, etc. The climate control knob (hot or cold) seized and was hard to turn after that. There were other problems, too. Such a money pit.

  7. I am no fan of Chevy, but the Bolt and Bolt EUV should not be on this list. I know a woman who has a 1st-gen Bolt. She loves it. Even though the battery recall and GM's actions were bad, one good thing is that the replacement battery has greater range. The BMW i3 was also a loved vehicle, although repairs after warranty are very expensive. Mistubishi i-MiEV, nearly universally hated, should be on this list. Also, Smart EV, Ford Focus EV, and Chevy Spark EV are all arguably worse than most of the vehicles on this list.
