  12. This is why it was so bad that NY DA Alvin Bragg dropped the tax fraud case against Trump in early 2022. That case was much easier for average people, including potential jurors, to relate. We all pay our taxes. Very few people have to pay off porn star mistresses to get elected president. Plus, Trump may already have been convicted by now. He could still run as a convicted felon. However, convicted felons have their rights severely restricted. Even if Trump had home confinement, he would not be able to attend rallies or debates, and may have had his access to social media cut. It would have been much better.

  13. I lived in the Netherlands 2018-2020. The culture there feels similar to that of the USA without most of our problems. In all of 2020, 5 people were reported killed by police in the Netherlands. Compare that to 1,176 people killed by police in the USA. But the Netherlands is a small country, right, with ~17,440,000 people. So if the USA had the same rate of police killing people as the Netherlands does, that 1,176 number would be reduced to 95 people killed by police.   14. Raising interest rates (doubled in one year) has no effect on corporate price gouging. Biden should fire Fed chair Powell, a Trump appointee. Bills which would help like windfall profits tax are never brought up. A lot of Biden's biggest proposals were blocked by Manchinema who already side with Republicans. Dems need to get rid of Schumer and Pelosi. We needed major change; we got mostly status quo with incremental improvements. Hell, they didn't even try to repeal the Trump tax cuts for the rich.

What was different from high school for me was learning how to figure things out on my own. Learning how to distinguish facts from BS. Thinking for myself.   36. One other difference between the OJ and the Rittenhouse criminal cases was that Judge Ito in the OJ case was not in the tank for OJ. The judge in the Rittenhouse criminal case seemed to be siding with Rittenhouse, denying prosecution motions and even screaming at prosecutors. At one point, that judge's cell phone rang in court, which by itself is a no-no. However, that judge had the Republican Anthem of Lee Greenwood's saccharine-sweet faux patriotic song "Proud to be an American" as his cell phone ringtone. Horrible judge.

  38. Another channel suggested that Trump may be hoping that the merger of his Truth Social network with the SPAC funding it could complete in late March. Trump is the majority stockholder in Truth Social. Usually, his holdings would be frozen for 6 months after the merger so as not to cause a sharp decline in the stock price. However, if Trump could convince the other stockholders to let him cash out immediately, then they would lose money after the stock price drops. Some of the co-founders are suing Trump, which could delay things until it is too late for him.

  39. The court should declare her to be a vexatious litigant. A vexatious litigant is someone who files lawsuits without merit solely to harass or subdue an adversary. The adversary in this instance could be the State of Arizona or the Governor or Secretary of State of Arizona. Once someone is officially declared a vexatious litigant, they cannot file new lawsuits unless they get permission from a judge first. That would stop Kari Lake's BS of tying up the courts.

I posted Hakeem Jeffries' corporate contributions in comments on a video praising him on the pro-corporate Democrat Meidas Touch channel a few days ago. The responses I got were pretty bad. One person even called me a "racial profiler" just because Jeffries is Black. I never mentioned his race, only the corporate money he took. One person wrongly told me that most Democrats in Congress are not corporate Dems. It is depressing how nasty and ignorant pro-corporate Democrats can be.

When young people graduate from college, are they going to want to move to red states which ban books in childrens' schools, dictate what teachers can and cannot teach, and exert full control over women's reproductive systems? Or are young people going to move instead to blue or purple states where they still have freedom?
