  1. The Republican-controlled House Ethics(?) Committee is supposedly still investigating Matt Gaetz's alleged trafficking a minor girl across state lines for sexual purposes. Kevin McCarthy could have gone behind the scenes to get Matt Gaetz ousted from the House. That would not have stopped another insane MAGA Republican House member from threatening to oust McCarthy, but at least he would have put Matt Gaetz in his place.
