  1. Not really a "Hail Mary" attempt by Trump's lawyers. A "Hail Mary" pass is typically into or near the end zone at the end of the game. This is more like Trump's lawyers throwing the football directly into the ground, nowhere near the end zone. But Aileen Cannon is like a ref who sees the ball was thrown directly into the ground and then rules a catch in the end zone to win the game. Let's hope any bad calls made by Cannon get overturned by replay review.
