Another channel suggested that Trump may be hoping that the merger of his Truth Social network with the SPAC funding it could complete in late March. Trump is the majority stockholder in Truth Social. Usually, his holdings would be frozen for 6 months after the merger so as not to cause a sharp decline in the stock price. However, if Trump could convince the other stockholders to let him cash out immediately, then they would lose money after the stock price drops. Some of the co-founders are suing Trump, which could delay things until it is too late for him.
