  1. When someone refers to other people's projects as "toy" projects, that is so inflammatory and arrogant. About two decades ago, I was working at a large company doing Java (JVM) development on enterprise-level Unix servers. I had a friend who was a software engineer at a smaller company. He had already done a lot of other things to piss me off. But when he finally called Java a "toy" only used to do web applets, I finally told him off. I never talked to him again.
