  1. The thing about Brexit which was so obvious is, who would have the trading power after Brexit: the EU or the UK? The UK has a much smaller economy than the EU. The UK needs the EU much, much more than the EU needs the UK. Therefore, the EU gets to set most of the trading rules. So the UK did Brexit to make their own rules, but now after Brexit the UK still has to abide by the EU's trading rules. That does not even touch on all the other things the UK gave up, like freedom of movement, less red tape, etc., before Brexit.
