I worked as a technical team leader for a very large computer company for >10 years. One person on my team was very incompetent, would make personal calls all day, and tried to daisy-chain power strips (do not do this!). When she was caught lying about her work, our boss promoted her! The last project I worked on was so bad that it could not even be installed with the operating system by the time we shipped it...to every store of a major retailer. I was working ~60 hours/week. This is great news for hourly workers, but won't matter much for salaried workers.
