Beware. Wisconsin Republicans now have a simple majority in the state house and a super-majority in the state senate. That means they could impeach and remove any state elected official. That would include the current Democratic governor as well as this new supreme court judge. It remains to be seen whether Wisconsin Republicans will be that extreme. But under former Republican governor Scott Walker, they stripped rights of state unions and once they saw a Democratic governor was elected, they tried to strip his power before he took office.
