Both Trump and McConnell are horrible, horrible men. Mitch McConnell entered the Senate in 1985, Senate Majority Leader 2015-2021. Donald Trump became President in 2017 with both chambers of Congress already controlled by Republicans. Trump left office in 2021, losing the House, Senate, and Presidency in the November 2020-January 2021 elections. Trump won once losing spectacularly when he left. McConnell won 6 six-year terms. Republicans are siding with loser Trump.
