Fortunately, I don't live in Florida or Texas anymore. I now live in a much more "blue" state. However, I am planning on leaving the USA by 2025. I too am fearful of what will happen after the fascists take over the next time. I feel sorry for all the people who cannot just pick up and leave.

@rachelwhanger2680 I lived in the Netherlands for two years during Trump's reign of terror. I went there under the Dutch American Friendship Treaty, which made it much easier to get a residence permit. However, I would have had to make enough money from the business I started there to renew after 2 years. That was not possible for me, so I had to leave. Great country, but Seattle-like weather. I am now considering Portugal. Too many Americans have already moved there. I read online that it is not as difficult to move there but still a lot of red tape and you have get things squared away with their consulate before you go. It helps a lot to either have a job which allows you to live anywhere, to be very wealthy so you don't need to work, or to have passive income. Good luck. I loved the Netherlands. I miss it.
