News used to inform people. Now it is about ratings. That is how they make money, by selling ads. But when cable news continually lies, and more viewers realize they are being lied to, how long will it be before people turn off and cable ad rates plummet? Or is this more like state-run propaganda TV where the big companies will pay cable news just to spew propaganda no matter what?
