NYPD is horrible. The only place my car was towed was by an NYPD tow truck when I lived in NYC years ago. I was parked farther away from the fire hydrant than 3 other cars on the same block; the difference? My car was the only one with out of state plates. Later, I saw a Verizon van parked directly in front of the same fire hydrant. After I called NYPD, no one came. Months after that, my parked car got shot by a gun. I went to the NYPD station and said "My car got shot." The 300+ pound NYPD woman asked me, "So what do you want me to do about it?" Do your f'ing job! I fled NYC after that and never went back. Fire the NYPD and start over from scratch.
