If Bernie were president now, companies would be less likely to do the terrible things they are currently doing. Just the threats of anti-trust lawsuits, denying new oil drilling projects, or turning public opinion against these corporations would be enough to at least curtail their bad acts, all without the need for congress to pass anything. Companies do not want to face years of costly lawsuits defending themselves against the US federal government. Bernie would do that. Biden will not.
