  1. This was not a "mistake" by MSNBC; this was by design. Time after time after time, MSNBC has fired popular left-wing hosts for telling the truth. MSNBC fired their #1 host at the time, Phil Donahue, in 2003 because he correctly spoke out against the Iraq war. MSNBC fired Ed Schultz in 2015. MSNBC president at the time Phil Griffin told Schultz five minutes before air time that he could not cover Bernie Sanders' announcement he was running for president. According to Schultz, Griffin told him, "you're not covering Bernie Sanders."
