  1. Good video. 15:07 Raising the retirement age actually is a benefit cut. Let's say you start collecting full Social Security benefits at age 67, and that you live 10 years past that to age 77. But then instead of 67, the retirement age gets raised to 70. That would not give you 3 more years of life, so you would only get full benefits 70-77 instead of 67-77. 7 years of benefits is a benefit cut down from 10 years before the retirement age was raised. 16:36 You say that all of the solutions are super-unpopular. But at 15:45 you say that 2/3 of Americans support raising or eliminating the cap for taxing higher incomes. So THAT ONE solution with 67% support across the board, sounds SUPER-POPULAR to me!
