@Zayphar Some people are living in the exclusion zone. Although the authorities have asked them to leave some have been there since the time of the accident. Others have moved back. They have been visited by TV crews on numerous occasions. I have wondered if the authorities may like them to be there. After all not sure how anyone could be asked to volunteer to live there.

@lancemcque1459 The first reactors at Windscale were build to make bomb materials. Generating electricity was not the primary function.

@lancemcque1459 The German nuclear power stations were shut down after the Japanese accident. I believe because people became risk averse. Why would climate change have a problem with them ?
