These days JSO use flash mop tactics specifically to avoid the police. They are out for a quick for a quick video op. Being around long enough to be arrested stops them popping somewhere else an hour or so later. Perhaps other groups should learn from then & avoid the police like the plague.

I don’t believe it is illegal to walk down the middle of the road. Unfortunately the Police need to have evidence of someone’s intent to cause a hold up before they can be detained. The protesters have been well briefed & know this. Without the evidence the Police can be sued for false arrest.

@schrodingerscat1863 Why no riot police when people are just using paint. Could it be cost. Both to send them out in the first place. Then replacing uniforms etc that have paint on them. I for one don’t see how the cost in the way of taxes could be justified.

@tara1941 I did not look in a van but the hand held detectors seemed to work. A TV license chap used to drink in my then local. He brought a detector in one night. Half a dozen of us walked down the street while he used it. He convinced five of us.
