Because women & children get abused by the smugglers. Men can be told you may have problems moving through the system. But you wife being good to us may help. This can happen multiple times. Children can also be taken aside for ‘a special treat’.

@cesium7907 May I take it you have first hand experience inc interviewing travellers. Plus if your first or second language is English & have relatives living in the U.K. where would you head for.

Voting for Brexit was bound to lead to increasing the amount of boats. The electorate must take some of the blame.
2
The U.K. could send some back to the EU but you voted leave. Which ended that agreement so no wonder more started crossing. For your Nigel it’s the gift that keeps on giving.
2
In some ways the increase in people coming across the channel is down to our democratic vote. Before Brexit many of people coming across could be sent straight back to France. Perhaps discouraging people from crossing in the first place. One thing that makes me ask this is that numbers crossing have grown since the U.K. lost the ability to send people back.

Not sure where all those Mosques went. I can only find one in Oxford.

You Brits voted for this situation. You could send people back while you were still in the EU. You decided to vote away that option. So of course without the threat of being sent back many more are bound to cross. Did your Nigel Farage & Boris Johnson not explain this to you ?

You Brits voted for your current situation. Didn’t your Nigel Farage & Boris Jonson not tell you that leaving the EU & therefore the ability to send people back could lead to the current situation ?

@melb5996 Are you trying to tell me that stories about the rising number of boat people are untrue. That yo did not ask for it. Partly by walking away from an agreement that left people with the threat of being sent back. YOU removed one of the conditions that caused people to think twice about crossing.
1
@VivaVictory Only abandoned churches.

I have come across this where ever I have traveled. How come the U.K. is thought special ?
1
@MickeyDC-om3pv No.
1
Sue they are laughing at the U.K. You actually voted yourself out of the Dublin agreement. Meaning you can not longer send any back to Europe.
1
@pauldurkee4764 if you can longer send back what did you expect.

@paulap2377 It’s one of your Brexit benefits. Enjoy.
1
Why do you Brits think it’s all about you. It’s happening all over so perhaps stop whining.
1
@khaleelal-saeed8762 Very few Christians left. People will often fill a vacuum.

The U.K. electorate voted for Brexit which led to increased crossings. It’s a bit of a cheek to blame politicians.

@georgebarnes8163 Before Brexit you had an agreement to return people to France. That ended when you left the EU. Take a look at the figures. Compared to now the figures were much lower until you finally left. Since then the numbers have steadily risen. If you have been on sales you know only to mention benefits. Never mention any possible down side. If anyone else says anything perhaps have Nigel & Boris deride them as say, 'Project Fear.' Why didn't the number instantly jump. Perhaps people wished to see that they would not be sent back before moving. But as it is there are thousands coming on behind. Could be that you have different explanation why numbers dramatically increased after leaving. I would love to hear it.

@georgebarnes8163 Is that not needing a passport to enter the U.K. apply in all instances ?
1
@georgebarnes8163 Interesting.
1
@georgebarnes8163 I had not even considered going to the U.K. via Ireland. Not sure I have even considered traveling to Ireland.
1
@georgebarnes8163 Much like driving round inside the EU.
1
@georgebarnes8163 Just remember border posts & swopping currency. Won’t want to go back. Is it correct that the Isle of Man has a number motorcycle race courses ?
1
@georgebarnes8163 Someone said there are three race circuits. Thought that sounded to good to be true. I can remember pre € days. When traveling round by could mean you may end up having a whole range of coins & notes.

Not sure how the UK has been be sold Halloween. Never a thing in my childhood. It appears to be something that has become like Christmas or Easter. An excuse for big business to sell us things
