The toll was ended some years ago. ( I think when the toll booths were removed ) What we have now is the ‘Dart Charge’ It’s a congestion charge.

@chriscurtain1816 I have a feeling you don’t use the Dart Crossing often. Going north I am not unusually backed up onto the A2 five miles from the tunnels. Any hazardous loads going north & the west tunnel is closed to other traffic while they pass through.

I have also set up an account. Saves logging on each time I use the Dart Crossing.

@terrilarene55 My crossings stopped during Covid. The Dart Crossing emailed me saying. Excuse us but. Is there any chance you email went into your junk folder. My junk folder automatically deletes emails at a month old.

The Dart Charge is a congestion charge to encourage people away from using it. Holdups justify the charge.

@Mike-tb5gj Not really the same since the introduction of the ‘temporary’ National Speed Limit. We used to hurry up between transport cafes on the bikes. The 70mph limit stopped our fun. I now tend to ride/drive for relaxation.

@stevendavis7079 Very rarely a queue going south since the tollbooths were taken a way. Anything that nudges drivers to take another route northbound is a bonus. I for one can nip down from the M2 to the M20 & take the M25 clockwise.

You appear to have access to the internet. What has the age of your phone got to do with it. I don’t have a smart phone but don’t have trouble paying.

@misfit2022 You don’t need an App. Just log onto the website & pay by card. Of course if you insist on only paying cash it will restrict your life’s choices. But it’s totally your choice to do that. Do you not use a card to get cash or do you nip into the bank/building Soc and draw it as ready spenders.
