  1.  @TheBandit7613 A friend gets along nicely with his solar panels, Powerwall & EV. Some months the utility company even buys enough power from him to part offset what he pays other month. If a large enough proportion of people went this way the companies would not need more large power plants & associated infrastructure. He lives in an oceanic temperate zone & does not have air-con.

  3. I worked on the spanners at a Volvo dealer late 80s early 90s. The 240 was generally good to work on. Unfortunately customers & none Volvo dealers did not realise the importance of replacing the crankcase breather flame trap at the correct interval. Build up of crankcase pressure would blow the rear crank seal. Non Volvo dealers sometimes swop the seal without replacing the flame trap. Give it 200 miles & the leak would be back. Basically the same engine in the 360 GLT.
