  2. I wish laws would change and start charging impaired drivers like this with murder. It’s so intentional to get behind the wheel and kill someone. The driver of the truck had the choice to not drive. We all know he probably won’t get the time in prison he deserves.

Normally you start slowing down well before the light, so if the brakes stopped working why didn't you pull the emergency brake or downshift to help slow the car down? You also could have turned and hit something else... they just reported what the initial thought was, if you weren't intoxicated then why make such a fuss about being accused? If you know the truth and you weren't arrested then why worry? Something doesn't sound right...
