  1. Maybe if one has been "deprived" of sex for a few weeks this should significantly reduce a sentence for rape? Are these "deprived offenders" any less bad or dangerous to others? Does anyone seriously believe that a more lenient sentence will make them less likely to offend again. Because many of us believe it will make reoffending MORE likely! FFS, just look at the explosion in shop-lifting, which is hardly ever punished these days.
