  1. Somewhat over 30 years ago I lived in Bray, and worked in the centre of Dublin. I would enjoy watching the scenery from the Dart, on my commute. Often on Sunday I would wait outside the Cinema by the Liffey to go hiking for the day with An Óige. The Ireland I knew then was very safe, welcoming, and most people were happy. I wouldn't recognise today's Ireland, and my late Irish mother, uncle and grandparents would cry if they could see how Irish politicians have sold the Irish people down the river.

  2. ​ @electraruby  I wonder if the ordinary Irish people know that EU law allows people to work in another EU country, and seek work there. But it neither requires that they receive benefits, be allowed to beg on the streets, or stay if they commit crimes. Ireland's politicians could get rid of most of the undesirables if they wanted to!

  3. ​ @kbrady8528  That is so sad. Even over 30 years ago my mother used to say Bray wasn't a shadow of what it used to be when she was a kid. I used to be able to see Bray Head from my living room window. I wonder if that view is now blocked.
