As others have pointed out those parents who send their kids to private schools are saving the state the 1000s of pounds it would cost to educate their kids. So they are already being heavily taxed. If most state schools weren't so bloody awful then there definitely wouldn't be a thriving private school sector. Private schools don't fare well in countries where state education is good! Stramer should be thinking of how to improve our abysmal state schools, rather than how to damage private ones.
