  1. Over 40 years ago when I worked for the Home Office in the Police National Computer Unit I ran them out of training programs. To improve my through put I used to punch the cards myself, even using a hand machine at times. I was told off for this, and so slacked off a lot. A few months later I was told that they had noticed a vast improvement since my telling off!
