  1. I fear that Peter's worries are very well founded. Gene editing per se is not bad, and could deliver some wonderful benefits. However, in the context of farming animals, I share his fear that it will be used to reduce the already poor quality of life that so many of these poor creatures endure, because people aren't willing to pay a fair price for their meat.
