  2. Just a thought. The so-called (failed) war on drugs costs an absolute fortune, but it's the very fact that they are illegal that pushes their price high enough to make it economically viable to produce and distribute most of them. Might it possibly be cheaper to simply legalise them and divert the policing money to education and hospitals? Would it even be worth cultivating coca, poppies and cannabis if the price of the final product dropped by a factor of 100?
