I don't like Sunak, but blaming him for the state of the economy is disingenuous. There is one overriding cause, the covid-19 lockdowns and restrictions. Most people in this country who meekly accepted them share the blame. I never wore masks, or got vaccinated, and I continued to teach in person throughout, telling my students they could still come to me regardless of whether they had covid-19. If most had behaved like me then we wouldn't now be in this mess.
