  2. Does anyone think the state pension is generous, because it's one of the meanest in the developed world? Many people need operations like hip and knee replacements as they get older, and these are very expensive (£10,000 to £20,000) if one wants to go privately instead of waiting years in debilitating agony for an operation on the NHS. Things like root canals and good crowns are also expensive. If someone is prudent enough to save money for such eventualities is it right to cut their pension for doing so? Badenoch has demonstrated what most people know. The Tories only care about the rich!
