  1. It's funny that both free bus travel and Leeds have been mentioned. Because my sister will be driving all the way there shortly. That's lots of greenhouse gas. If she was a year older, and living in Ireland, she would have been able to take the train all over the country for free. Why is it that for decades Ireland, which is poorer than the UK, has been able to give it's OAPs free travel throughout the country (and free TV)?
