While Psycho Putin would happily use nukes, I suspect that there are those in a position to "remove" him, and his so-called "strong men", who have children and grandchildren that they love and want a future for. I think they will prevent Putin visiting destruction upon Russia and everyone they care about. Rather than placate this insane lunatic the right strategy is to push him into a corner that forces his removal. This is also the easy and face-saving way out for Russia. Remove the maniacs, blame everything on them, and withdraw from Ukraine.
