  3. A very unwise exemption. To paraphrase an old saying: "give a Muslim an inch and he'll take a mile"! I've lived in Italy and didn't find any rules or customs particularly onerous. In fact, Italians often made an extra effort to help me. If these people don't like the way things are done in Italy the should bugger off to a country that suits them better. For someone who can read Dante in the vernacular his poetry represents one of the greatest achievements of that art form. Only a complete savage and barbarian would want to avoid such an experience.
